The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are unlike any other days in the entire year. They are a season of mercy, reward, transformation, and nearness to Allah ﷻ. These days are so special that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
(Tirmidhī)
These are days that Allah Himself swore by in the Qur’an:
“By the dawn, and the ten nights…”
(Sūrah al-Fajr, 89:1–2)
The majority of scholars explain that these "ten nights" refer to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah—days that combine in them the essence of all the pillars of Islam: Ṣalāh, Ṣiyām (fasting), Ṣadaqah (charity), and Ḥajj. No other time of the year holds this distinction.
Even though these days come and go quietly for many, the ones who recognize their value—who plan and prepare—are the ones who walk away spiritually revived, forgiven, and closer to Allah than ever before.
“Whoever missed out on standing in ʿArafah, then let him stand for Allah and fulfill His rights... And whoever was unable to reach the House (Kaʿbah), then let him advance towards the Lord of the House.”
— Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله)
These ten days are a divine gift. They're not just a countdown to Eid. They’re a chance to restart your relationship with Allah. A spiritual window to clean the heart, renew intentions, and elevate your soul. Imagine standing on the Day of Judgment, and these ten days become the reason you are saved and raised.
“The fortunate one is he who makes the most of these special days, drawing nearer to his Lord through acts of worship.”
— Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله)
